Why International Action Is Needed

Orthodox Jewish protesters in Israel have faced excessive and disproportionate force during peaceful demonstrations. Despite international human rights standards requiring restraint and accountability, local authorities have failed to take meaningful action.

The use of force has escalated to alarming levels, with protesters—including minors—being killed by vehicles driven through protest areas. These incidents have occurred in locations where safety protocols should have been enforced but were not.

What makes this crisis particularly urgent is the complete lack of accountability. No arrests have been made, no prosecutions initiated, and no transparent investigations conducted. This pattern of impunity violates fundamental principles of justice and human rights.

Victims and families have repeatedly requested investigations from Israeli authorities. These requests were ignored or not meaningfully addressed. There has been no accountability or punishment for those responsible.
